Job Profile

DFI is seeking a full-time corporate Procurement and Contract Manager who will report to the VP Commercial to ensure field purchases are sourced, tracked, and delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner while ensuring our contracts with customers and vendors are managed per all requirements.

Job Duties

  • Internal procurement (various deparments)
  • Negotiate with vendors to determine preferred suppliers in areas of operation;
  • Establish accounts/subcontracts with key vendors, as required, that meet DFI prequalification requirements;
  • Consult and collaborate with the VP Commercial and Field Operations / Project Managers understand upcoming projects and field requirements;
  • Manage the purchase order process for steel and subcontract purchases and ensure that appropriate terms and conditions are in place to mitigate risk;
  • Coordinate the acquisition of resources for upcoming projects in the most cost and time efficient manner;
  • Manage field changes and any resulting changes / updates to contracts;
  • Manage subcontractor purchase orders and ensure that billing matches quotes and purchase orders;
  • Review and update subcontractor MSAs;
  • Review and update client MSAs
  • Manage DFI profile on all procurement portal platforms (ie. ISNetworld)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on project profitability and areas of risk and improvement;
  • Participate in purchasing field research to obtain market information for internal cost use;
  • Identify other cost savings opportunities;
  • Overall management and oversight of the procurement process for all of Backwoods both corporately and field.
  • Review all contracts.
  • Manage and deliver all pre-quals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of related working experience in operations including sourcing & contract management, inventory management and procurement, in a similar industry;
  • Supply Chain Management designation, an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience managing / supervising direct reports;
  • Strong understanding and experience in procurement practices specific to bidding, tendering, RFP's, RFQ's, negotiations and contracts;
  • Sub-contract management experience;
  • Experience with transportation and logistics, sourcing and master data management;
  • Fantastic communication skills and the ability to build strategic relationships with suppliers;
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing a high volume of contracts;
  • Strong financial analysis skills and negotiation skills
  • Aptitude for anticipating delays that would affect the project;
  • Able to project a friendly, open manner and communicate well with management, co-workers, internal customers, suppliers, and client representatives;
  • Demonstrated ability in project management, leadership and facilitation.
