Job Profile

Job Duties

  • Assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair DFI pipe mill production machinery.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Adjust and align tooling and pipe mill components.
  • Rebuild gearboxes, drivelines, tooling and control components.
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance and service work on machinery.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as overhead cranes, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of production machinery.
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Registered 1st or 2nd year apprentice
  • Familiar working with steel or metal fabrication.
  • Minimum class 5 driver’s license.
  • CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) certification an asset.
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate production needs.
  • Punctual and reliable to meet work schedule needs.
