Job Profile

The Human Resources Manager is an integral partner in DFI’s success and will help shape the future of the organization. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will have senior level responsibility for managing and developing our people, HR systems, processes and new initiatives.

Job Duties

  • Provide support and advise management on all employee relations issues
  • Respond to business requirements and assist HR team with recruitment needs
  • Develop and implement new policies and procedures; Manage DFI’s drug and alcohol program
  • Actively pursue and implement employee engagement and compensation initiatives
  • Coordinate temporary foreign worker program and assist with LMIA application process
  • Assist and guide managers with performance management
  • Participate and guide change management throughout organization
  • Communicate with all levels of management and report on key HR metrics
  • Supervise and mentor DFI’s human resources team

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead and foster a collaborative HR team with focus on client support
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or equivalent; CPHR designation preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR Generalist, Manager or HR Supervisory role
  • Oil & gas and/or construction industry experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker program
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Clean class 5 driver’s license
