Job Profile

Our Branch Managers are responsible for overseeing all operations within their respected locations. They are fundamental in the mentoring and development of employees, as well as exerting the DFI culture in their areas.

Job Duties

  • Create dispatches for field personnel including; taking phone calls from customers, providing quotes for transportation and other services, job/employee scheduling, job documentation, and daily reporting
  • Obtain over dimensional and overweight permits and ensure compliance with HOS and NSC requirements
  • Ensure bills of lading, time-sheets and logs are processed on a daily basis for furtherance to Edmonton Corporate Office
  • Conduct unit audits and branch inspections
  • Manage and lead all branch employees, ensuring employee engagement and performance management
  • Follow up with crews and customers on job satisfaction
  • Liaise with other branch offices and provide operational support to all other DFI locations
  • Provide field supervision on an ad-hock basis.
  • Conduct and participate in safety meetings
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven success in a supervisory or management role in a related field
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Thorough understanding of federal hours of service, and transport regulations for Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proven capability to plan and organize tasks
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Previous experience operating piling equipment and/or commercial vehicles; an asset
