Job Profile

We are currently expanding our finance and accounting department to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional support to our management teams while focusing on execution of key initiatives and strategies.

Job Duties

  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Various sub ledger reconciliations and analysis (i.e. job, equipment, A/R, A/P, etc.)
  • Update and review intercompany schedules
  • Detailed reviews of revenues and expenses, including variance analysis
  • Inventory analysis and review
  • Job Costing – generate and review job reports
  • Fiscal year end working papers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Tax remittances – GST, PST, State, etc.
  • Rent roll updates
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • Assist with cash forecasting
  • Create select purchase orders
  • Perform various analytical procedures.
  • Assist accounting team and operations, as required
  • Assist with preparation of corporate financial statements
  • Assist and prepare various branch and divisional income statements
  • Prepare job gross margin reporting
  • Prepare account specific and volume analysis reports
  • Assist with financial projections and budgets
  • Ad hoc reporting, as needed

Qualifications

  • Accounting designation preferred (legacy CA, CGA, CMA or newly designated CPA), although non-designated candidates with several years of technical accounting experience will be considered
  • Effective communication skills
  • Technically proficient with above mentioned duties and responsibilities
  • Committed to meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Critical thinker with ability to see beyond the numbers
  • Driven to perform accounting duties with excellence and minimal supervision
  • Experience in oilfield or general construction industries considered an asset
